Our Centres | Frenchmans Lodge

Frenchmans Lodge is a 98 bed fully accredited centre located in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs and close to public transport and shopping districts. Great care has been taken to maintain the home's old world character and charm.

Features include high ornate ceilings, lead-light glass and large windows that let in the lovely sea breeze and sunshine.

The mix of paved and garden areas create an alfresco feel with outdoor settings and sun umbrellas providing a lovely environment for visiting family and friends.

Residents suffering from Dementia are accommodated on the first floor, which also incorporates an extra secure area for residents with challenging and wandering behaviours. A passenger lift provides easy access throughout the centre for all residents.

The staff at Frenchmans Lodge are our greatest asset and we work hard at creating a happy and pleasant working environment. We hold special social days to allow time for residents, staff and relatives to come together and enjoy some food, relax and have fun.

Our activities program is an area in which we have achieved excellence and we continue to ensure that our program remains resident specific and fresh.

Residents go on regular outings and visit the local 'Club' for lunch and entertainment most months.

In addition, our activities program has regular visiting entertainers who provide music, song and dance.

We are extremely proud of our mobility program. This is supervised by a physiotherapist and carried out by our mobility assistants who are on duty five days per week. The goal of this program is to maintain as much function as possible, and we achieve this by walking residents, doing passive limb exercises and conducting exercise classes on weekdays.
