Essential Qualifications
- Registered Nurse – List A
- Good working knowledge of clinical governance
- Knowledge and experience in working in health or aged care
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes
- Capacity to have initiative and be innovative
- Computer literacy
- High level of written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge and experience in education and quality management systems
- Good Knowledge and commitment to Continuous Improvement, Occupational Health and Safety and Infection Control
- Good working knowledge of ACFI
Desirable Qualifications
- Post basic qualification in gerontology / aged care management
- Experience to level at least greater than In-Charge or Assistant Director of Nursing
Role Summary
As a Manager - Care & Lifestyle within SummitCare, you will be accountable to the Operations Manager for the day-to-day care management issues of the facility. You will be required to ensure that the principles of clinical governance are employed throughout the centre. In the role you will be required to foster a culture of positive and innovative best practice care principles, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care our centres strive for. Other considerations you will be responsible for include the day to day management of human resources such as staffing and resource allocation and the optimisation of ancillary services. Your role as part of the management team entails responsibilities in complaint management and embrace the concept of continuous quality improvement and ensuring that all staff encompass those principles into the day to day service delivery of the centre.
