Role: Catering Supervisor

Essential Qualifications
- Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience working with the frail and aged
- Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement, OH&S and Infection Control practices and principles
- Previous experience working in an industrial kitchen and/or laundry
- Good knowledge of food preparation, and kitchen equipment
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes
- Capacity to take initiative and be innovative
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
Role Summary
As a Catering Supervisor within SummitCare, you will be accountable to the Operations Manager and the Manager - Accommodation Services for the day-to-day management of the kitchen. As part of the management team you are accountable for menu development, stock control and the overall preparation and serving of nutritious and attractive meals for our residents. You will also be required to participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ongoing education programs to ensure that all aspects of food preparation and serving of food encompass those principles.
