Essential Qualifications
- Current registration with Nurses Registration Board of New South Wales List A
Desirable Qualifications
- Post-basic experience and/or qualifications in gerontological nursing
- Knowledge and experience in working in health or aged care
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes
- Capacity to have initiative and be innovative
- Computer literacy
- High level of written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement, OH&S and Infection Control practices and principles
- Medication Management Certificate
Role Summary
As an Enrolled Nurse in SummitCare you will be accountable to the Care Manager and Registered Nurse for the overall clinical areas within the facility. It will be your responsibility to assist the Registered Nurse in ensuring that the total care of residents, including planning, assessment, evaluation and delivery of care is carried out in accordance with individual needs of residents. You will also be required to participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ongoing education programs to ensure that all aspects of resident care encompass the mission, vision and operating principles of the organisation.
