Role: General Services Officer - Kitchen Hand
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the frail and aged
- Knowledge of and commitment to continuous Quality Improvement, OH&S and Infection Control practices and principles
- Previous experience working in an industrial kitchen and/or laundry
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, and kitchen equipment
Desirable Qualifications
- Food Handling Certificate or working towards the same
Role Summary
As a kitchen hand within SummitCare, you will be accountable to the Catering Supervisor for the day-to-day management of kitchen duties for the facility. As part of the team you are accountable for assisting in the preparation and serving of nutritious and attractive meals for our residents. You will also be required to participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ongoing education programs to ensure that all aspects of food preparation and serving of food encompass those principles.
