Role: Physiotherapy Aide
Required Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Aide Certificate or working towards same
- Previous experience working with the frail and aged
- Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement, OH&S and Infection Control practices and principles
- Basic knowledge of manual handling and OH&S principles
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to develop and implement individual and group mobility plans in consultation with the Physiotherapist
Role Summary
As a Physiotherapy Aide within SummitCare, you will be accountable to the Care Manager and Physiotherapist for the physiotherapy program within the facility. It will be your responsibility to assist the Physiotherapist in ensuring that the mobility care of residents, including planning, assessment, evaluation and delivery of care is carried out in accordance with individual needs of residents. You will also be required to participate in continuous quality improvement activities and ongoing education programs to ensure that all aspects of resident care encompass the mission, vision and operating principles of the organisation.
