Barry Cowling

Barry completed his Psychiatric Nurse Training in 1979 and General Nurse Training in 1982. Barry also has post graduate qualifications in Infection Control and Dementia Care. Since completing his training Barry has specialised in Aged Care and Palliative Care. Barry's career at SummitCare began as a Registered Nurse evening Supervisor at Frenchmans Lodge in 1986 and his extensive experience in aged care management includes roles such as Aged Care Services Manager and Special Projects Officer for another aged care provider.

With experience in Extra Service Facilities Barry rejoined the team at Frenchmans Lodge as a Registered Nurse in 2006 and was appointed Care manager in 2007, then promoted to Operations Manager in 2010.

As Operations Manager, Barry's focus is on continuous quality improvement, service development through sound business leadership and customer satisfaction. Barry advocates a model of person centered care with a strong commitment to promoting and living SummitCare's vision of 'working together to provide peace of mind'.
