Suzanne Douglass

Suzanne joined SummitCare in March 2009. She has a university diploma and a university degree with post graduate qualifications in oncology and palliative care.

During her career as a registered nurse, Suzanne worked at the North Shore, Mount Druitt, Westmead and Nepean hospitals.  She has valuable knowledge and experience in many specialty areas, including palliative care, aged care, emergency and critical care.

Suzanne has additional skills and training as an aged care quality assessor and as a clinical nurse consultant and co investigator in cancer research.  Her research was published in the Oncology Nursing Forum Journal in 2003.

Suzanne’s past management roles include responsibility and accountability as a director of nursing, in a nursing home in Lithgow, as a community services manager covering the Blue Mountains, Nepean and Hawkesbury area and as a clinical unit manager at a nursing home in Penrith.

Suzanne’s management focus is quality improvements, service development and consumer satisfaction. She fosters  person centred care with a strong commitment to promoting and living SummitCare’s  vision of “working together to provide piece of mind”.
