Michelle joined SummitCare in July 2017. She is a highly experienced healthcare executive with an extensive track record in senior leadership and executive management across the health and aged care sectors. She is currently Director and Chief Executive Officer of SummitCare, a leading residential aged care provider operating across metropolitan Sydney and the Hunter Valley. SummitCare provides care and services to more than 930 residents across nine residential aged care homes and has secured development approvals for additional greenfield sites that will expand its aged care and independent living offerings. Michelle has demonstrated success across a broad range of healthcare settings. Her experience includes the operational management of a group of 11 surgical hospitals, including a specialist drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, for Macquarie Health Corporation. She has also held executive leadership roles overseeing general practice medical centres, pathology laboratories, and healthcare services at Sydney International Airport. A qualified General and Obstetric Nurse, Michelle holds an MBA and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In addition to her executive responsibilities, Michelle has made significant contributions to several Boards she served on. She is a former Board Member and Adviser to the Southern Highlands Community Hospice Project. Throughout her career, she has served on several boards, including organisations providing NDIS and disability services. Michelle was elected to the NSW/ACT State Member Council of Ageing Australia and remains an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is recognised for her collaborative and values-driven leadership style, her ability to build high-performing teams, and her commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Michelle is passionate about developing agile, empowered organisations that can respond effectively to the evolving needs of Australia's health and aged care communities.
