A life symphony of love and music, Carol Natherson

In our journey through life, we often accumulate a wealth of experiences, knowledge, and wisdom. One remarkable individual who has traversed this path is Carol. We had the pleasure of sitting down with her to explore her most memorable experiences, advice for future generations, musical preferences, favourite season, and the cherished tradition that has made her famous within her family.

Carol’s eyes light up as she fondly reminisces about the happiest experience of her life. “The happiest experience that I have ever had is when I was in love with somebody from the church choir, his name was Reggie,” she begins. Her smile grows as she continues, “It was the most beautiful experience ever in my life, as I have not ever been able to replicate that experience. ”Carol and Reggie’s love story started while they were attending college together and shared a connection in their shared choir at The Church Of England. Love, music, and faith converged in their lives, creating a profound and cherished memory.

With a life well-lived, Carol shares invaluable advice for future generations. “I would give people the advice to try and not have the need to be in control of everything,” she advises. “The best way to be is to just let life flow naturally as it is meant to be at times.” Her guidance emphasises the importance of letting go and allowing life to unfold without overburdening it with control. She also encourages young people to find their voices and opinions, acknowledging the value of individuality and freedom.

Carol’s musical preferences offer a glimpse into her cultured sensibilities. “My favourite type of music is classical - specifically classical piano,” she shares. Beethoven and Mozart hold a special place in her heart, having been her favourite composers. While playing these compositions brought her joy in the past, her hands no longer permitted it. Nevertheless, the beauty of classical piano continues to bring her immense happiness.

As the seasons change, Carol reveals her favourite time of year – Christmas. “My favourite way to celebrate this is with my family, and the people closest to me in life,” she says. Carol’s joy during the holiday season stems from witnessing the happiness and cheer of those around her. It’s a time when family bonds are reinforced, and the simple act of giving brings immense happiness.

Within her family, Carol is celebrated for her culinary talents, specifically her delicious coconut doughnuts drizzled with maple syrup. This cherished tradition has been passed down through generations and is a testament to the love and connection within her family. The doughnuts provided a delicious excuse for everyone to come together, enjoy a shared moment, and savour the sweetness of life.

Carol spent a significant part of her life working in aged care, and her compassion and understanding of the profession shone through. She extends her gratitude to the individuals working in this field, recognising the challenges and importance of their work. Her appreciation for their efforts is heartfelt, demonstrating her kindness and empathy.

We discovered a tapestry of love, wisdom, and cherished memories. From a love story rooted in a church choir to the warmth of family traditions, her life reflects the beauty of human connections and the wisdom that comes from a life well-lived. Carol’s advice for future generations encourages us all to find joy in the simple things, embrace our individuality, and let life flow naturally.
